Purpose <p>This study aimed to explore the effects of the Motor Support Program (MSP) designed for autistic children on motor, social, pre-academic, and sensory development, as well as on autism-related characteristics.</p> Methods <p>The study group consisted of 30 participants aged 4–6 years (15 experimental, 15 control). The experimental group participated in the MSP for 12 weeks, twice weekly, with 50-minute sessions. Data were collected using the Adapted Autism Behavior Checklist (A-ABC), the Bruininks-Oseretsky Motor Competence Test 2-Short Form (BOT-2 SF), the Pre-Academic Skills Assessment Form (PASAF), the Social Skills Rating System–Preschool Teacher Form (SSRS-PTF), and the Sensory Profile Scale (SPS).</p> Findings <p>The study revealed significant improvements in favor of the experimental group on all subtests of the A-ABC, BOT-2 SF, and SSRS-PTF, as well as on selected PASAF subtests (Shape, Dimension) and the total score (<i>p</i> &lt; .05). Follow-up tests assessing the program’s effectiveness and retention also yielded significant results in favor of the experimental group (<i>p</i> &lt; .05). Qualitative findings indicated improvements in motor, social, pre-academic, and sensory domains, along with high motivation for participation.</p> Conclusion <p>The findings suggest that MSP provides an inclusive and holistic framework that supports autistic children’s multidimensional development and promotes engagement across learning, social, and sensory domains. This trial was retrospectively registered at ClinicalTrials.gov (Identifier: NCT07121231).</p>

Purpose
