摘要

Chatbot is a software application that uses artificial intelligence techniques to simulate human-like prompt conversations with users. Governments worldwide are increasingly using chatbots to interact with their citizens and provide prompt communication services, and support related to their service activities. By synthesizing Information Systems Continuance Model and Resources Matching Theory as theoretical frameworks, this study proposes a multidimensional concept of chatbot’s prompt competency as a key driver and examines how prompt competency influences citizens ‘continuous use of government chatbots. The results of the study indicate that citizens’ continuance with government chatbots is both directly and indirectly influenced by prompt competency, expectation confirmation, and service satisfaction. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
