<p>This short communication discusses the concept of women diversity in women’s colleges, particularly in the context of the NIRF ranking framework in India. It explores the definition and importance of gender diversity and presents the formula used to calculate the women diversity sub-parameter in the ranking system. The study raises questions about recognizing diversity in homogeneous groups and suggests treating women’s colleges equally to men’s colleges. It also presents a comparison of the original rankings and revised rankings after deducting the women diversity score, highlighting the impact on the rankings of various colleges. The study emphasizes the need to re-evaluate how diversity is defined and measured in colleges.</p>
