Dynamics of Tank with Liquid with Free Surface Under Variable External Force

A mathematical model that describes the coupled motion of a rigid cylindrical tank filled with a liquid with a free surface connected by a spring to a movable platform has been developed. The nonlinear oscillations of the system subjected to a harmonic external force has been analyzed. The force is applied to the platform in the vicinity of the points corresponding to the minimum amplitudes of the external force, where the oscillations of the free surface of the liquid are in the nonlinear excitation range.
