<p>The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic significantly impacted international students’ career development. Using Social Cognitive Career Theory, this study explored how learning experiences influenced career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) and career outcome expectations (COE). Data from 354 international students (70.1% master’s; 83.9% Asian) at a US university in 2021–2022 were analyzed via structural equation modeling. Results showed learning experiences positively predicted CDSE and COE, with CDSE mediating their relationship. Career counselors can enhance support by fostering confidence-building interventions. These findings highlight confidence as key to international students’ career development, especially amid systemic challenges. Implications for practice and future research are provided.</p>
