Internal Structure Observation of an Aged Violin by OCT and THz Imaging
摘要
The potential of optical coherence tomography and terahertz time-domain imaging as non-destructive evaluation methods for aged violins was investigated. The results were compared with those of X-ray tomography and suggest that optical coherence tomography is well-suited to observing the varnish/wood interface and that terahertz time-domain imaging can reveal the internal structure in detail by scanning.
