<p> Scholars and practitioners often want to take up equity-minded approaches to research, assessment, and/or evaluation, and many paradigmatic approaches have been provided over the years, yet their congruent methodologies and methods are not always clearly described. This manuscript introduces Critical Advocacy Methodology (CAM) to assist researchers and practitioner-scholars in operationalizing this approach throughout a qualitative research design. CAM is an innovative methodology centered in Critical Advocacy Inquiry, a paradigmatic approach that sits at the nexus of critical, transformative, and participatory paradigms. CAI reminds equity-minded researchers to unapologetically interrogate concepts of power and expose existing inequities as they work toward making concreate change in higher education and beyond. This manuscript offers researchers innovative CAM tools to utilize – and enhance – their own studies. Specifically, we offer CAM methods for collection, tools for analysis, and concepts for strengthening trustworthiness in ways that support the quality or rigor of a study. Participants as co-researchers, co-conspirators, or collaborators are valued throughout the transformative process.</p>
