摘要

Nanocellulose (NC) is a biodegradable and renewable nanomaterial, which is obtained from vegetal and microbial resources and NCs are available in three major forms viz. Cellulose Nanocrystals (CNCs), Cellulose Nanofibrils (CNFs) and Bacterial Nanocellulose (BNC) which possessed different morphological and mechanical properties. This paper reviewed the Artificial fibres such as carbon, glass and aramid, environmental implication and weight limitations. The paper identifies the Extraction methods with desired properties and surface modification techniques besides describing the structural properties of the various types of nanocellulose, the method of their extraction and surface treatment and also discussed the interfacial bonding for improving mechanical performance. Finally Environmental Impact of Synthetic Fiber Composites are also discussed.
