<p>The study aims to hydraulically justify the efficiency of the parameters of the stilling basin elements below the shaft spillway of the 16 Tishrin Dam in the Syrian Arab Republic. Such devices enable dissipation of excess kinetic energy of the flow. Moreover, they are used to monitor the occurrence of deformation in the downstream reach. Thus, the elements ensure the reliability and safety of the dam and the spillway during long-term operation and at high flood flows.</p>
