摘要

The article examines the technical and economic feasibility of using a superstructure on the top edge of acoustic barriers, which are widely used to reduce the noise of power equipment. A condition has been obtained under which it is advisable to use a superstructure over the acoustic barrier. It is shown that it is more expedient to use a superstructure, if the value by which the height of the barrier can be reduced through the use of a superstructure without reducing the overall acoustic efficiency of the barrier, is greater than the ratio of the unit costs for the superstructure to the unit costs of the barrier. The application of this technique for a superstructure in the form of cylindrical edge with a diameter of 0.5 m is considered, depending on the height of the screen and the installation location of the superstructure relative to the edge of the screen. The values by which the overall height of the screen can be reduced by using an add-on in the form of cylindrical edge have been determined, without reducing the acoustic efficiency of the barrier.
