Tall Concrete Dams on a Rock Foundation. Modern Geodynamics of the Mountain Massif in the Abutment of Arch Dam, After Long-Term Operation of the Enguri Hydroelectric Power Plant Reservoir, According to Field Observations of the Movements of Points in the Massif
摘要
This article uses materials from the author’s publications in the “Gidrotekhnicheskoe stroitel’stvo” magazine No. 7, 2023 and No. 1, 2024: “Some lessons from field observations on high concrete dams. Assessment of the condition of the dam and the enclosing massif based on polygonometry of horizontal displacements and leveling of vertical displacements.” It assesses the modern neotectonics of the area of the arch dam and reservoir of the Enguri hydroelectric power station, a structure that has been in operation for more than 40 years. The conclusions of the article are consistent with long-term field observations conducted using high-precision polygonometry and through the leveling of the movements of geodetic points in the mountain range at the abutment of the dam.
