<p>Perspectivity, i.e., the fact that human beings are bound to their point of view in their knowledge and action, is a prominent motif in modern thought. This study puts forth two proposals. First, it argues that perspectivity is not limited to our perception and knowledge but extends to and is grounded in the ways we live (or exist). Second, the study draws on the fact that Patočka's account of existence emphasizes its inner multiplicity and suggests that this multiplicity can be understood as a plurality of points of view. In conclusion, some objections to this reading of Patočka that frames perspectivity as a fundamental feature of his concept of existence are discussed.</p>
