Forests and their Role in Protecting against Tropical Cyclones on Vietnam’s Coasts in the Climate Change Era
摘要
We discuss how the negative consequences of tropical cyclones in Vietnam can be exacerbated by climate change and how forests, whether in mountainous or coastal regions, play a crucial role in safeguarding the country from these storms and their associated hazards. We suggest social transitions toward an eco-surplus culture through more proactive, transparent communication about the destructive impacts of tropical cyclones and the protective role of forests in the current era of climate change.
