<p>Tourism related to intangible cultural heritage (ICH) is a relatively new topic with little evidence of study. The objective of our research is to assess the dimensionality of ritualized experiences in this field thoroughly. The functions of subjective liveliness, self-congruity, and involvement in ritualized intangible cultural heritage tourism, while significant in influencing the emotional experiences of cultural tourists, have been inadequately explored. Analysis of data from 357 participants at a local fair in Suzhou, a culturally significant city in China, revealed four components of ritualized intangible cultural heritage (ICH) visitor experiences by structural equation modeling (SEM). These elements include uniqueness, commitment, ritualism, and impracticality. We assert that self-congruity influences the positive correlation between pertinent participation and ritualized experiences. This study contributes to existing literature by clarifying rituals at historical sites and providing practical recommendations for enhancing the destination's social and economic benefits.</p>
