Accurate Estimation of Fractured Rock Mass Permeability Using Borehole Imaging and Water Pressure Testing
摘要
The accurate assessment of permeability parameters in fractured rock mass is important for the sustainable utilization of groundwater resources, the safe geological disposal of radioactive waste and effective prevention of geological disasters. According to the heterogeneity and anisotropy of the fracture medium, this study calculated and calibrated the permeability parameters, especially for the fracture mass in the granite cave chamber. The detailed geometric data of fracture and the results of hydraulic test are accurately calculated and calibrated. It is found that the measurement error of fracture width and drilling method significantly influence on the calculation of permeability parameters. To reduce these errors, this study proposed a correction method using the permeability tensor obtained by the borehole camera technology. This method not only improves the accuracy of the permeability parameter estimation, but also reveals the key factors affecting the calculation results. The results of this study provide a new technical means for accurately assessing the permeability characteristics of fractured rock mass, which is of significant value for promoting the progress of research in related fields and improving the efficiency and safety of groundwater resource management, geological disposal of radioactive waste and geological disaster prevention.
