<p>This article presents a conceptual framework for managing desirable and undesirable states of uncertainty, future, and knowledge in anticipatory systems. The research explores how social constructs shape the perception and management of these states in Internet of Things (IoT) systems. The theoretical framework developed in this study suggests that effective anticipatory management of complex technology systems requires balancing uncertainty, future projections, and knowledge while considering societal interpretations and interactions with these technologies. The study introduces an anticipatory Internet of Things system model that incorporates a predictive component based on desired states of uncertainty, future, and knowledge. This model aims to enable social proactive shaping of IoT development and management rather than passive adaptation to its functioning. By integrating concepts from futures studies, uncertainty management, and systems thinking, the framework provides a more comprehensive approach to anticipatory decision-making in complex, evolving IoT ecosystems. The research contributes to the emerging field of anticipatory uncertainty management and offers insights for both theoretical development and practical application in complex technology-social systems governance.</p>
