摘要

This paper discusses a method for pre-modifying raw materials using a low-pressure, non-equilibrium low-temperature plasma (NTP) flow. The cotton, aramid, and antistatic fibers contained in these materials provide the necessary fire resistance for metallurgists’ protective clothing; while also increasing the adsorption of fire-retardant and oil- and water-repellent impregnations compared to control samples. After modifying the textile materials for workwear and impregnating them with a new chemical composition of flame retardant, an additional treatment with a low-pressure plasma flow was carried out. During the experiments, the breaking load and resistance of the control fabric samples and the fabrics after exposure to the heat flow were determined.
