<p>Fiber polymer composite materials are demanded in various industries, including oil and gas; aircraft, ship, and automobile construction; chemical and energy production; building and construction; consumer goods, etc. Composite products obtained by winding of elongated material demonstrate a number of advantages over those obtained by conventional methods. In addition, winding technologies can be readily automated. In this article, the authors propose to apply digital 3D modeling for analysis and optimization of wound products.</p>
