<p>The paper presents a study of fabrics made of aramid fibers of different trademarks with the use of thermal analysis methods. The examined fabrics are made of dyed fiber or obtained by dyeing of wool fabrics. The thermal analysis curves of mass loss at fixed temperature, temperature of maximum rate, and maximum rate of mass loss according to DTG curves, coke residue formed at the end of pyrolysis process at fixed temperature were determined as significant identification characteristics. The qualitative characteristics of thermal analysis are the temperature intervals within which the degradation processes occur. The obtained data can be used for the identification of materials from heat-resistant fibers.</p>
