<p>This study examines the impact of COVID-19 on gender disparities in the U.S. labor market using data from the American Household Pulse Survey. It reveals that the pandemic exacerbated income disparities, particularly affecting women, especially in caregiving roles and with lower educational attainment. While the gender gap in income was more pronounced in the pandemic’s early stages, it narrowed over time. The research highlights the persistent gender inequalities in the labor market and underscores the need for targeted policy interventions, especially in sectors with notable disparities, to foster a more equitable workforce.</p>
