<p>The intensification of extreme weather events demands innovative and integrated approaches to protect the population, infrastructure, and environment. There is a perceived need for studies that shed light on the interactions among Climate Change, Extreme Weather Events, and Urban Resilience. In this context, this Systematic Literature Review (SLR) seeks to elucidate the dimensions of urban resilience to disasters and extreme weather events resulting from climate change, as well as to explore adaptation, absorption and transformation strategies. From a rigorous analysis of a portfolio of 181 peer-reviewed articles, the results reveal that the field is dominated by incremental Absorption and Adaptation solutions, leading to reactive risk management. The main gap identified lies in the crucial capacity to restructure the system in the face of an extreme climate future. The study contributes by providing a unified conceptual framework and, crucially, outlining practical recommendations at the policy and infrastructure levels that are essential to enabling equitable and long-term urban resilience.</p>
