<p>High-standard Farmland Construction (HSFC) plays a pivotal role in advancing rural industrial revitalization and ensuring national food security. This study systematically examines the dynamic evolution, spatial disparities, and convergence patterns of HSFC efficiency in China from 2011 to 2022. Leveraging panel data from 31 provinces (including municipalities), we integrate a super-efficiency SBM model to assess HSFC efficiency, the Dagum Gini coefficient for decomposing regional disparities, and spatial convergence models to capture spatial dynamics. The results reveal that: (1) HSFC efficiency exhibits a sustained upward trend nationwide, yet significant spatial heterogeneity persists, characterized by a pronounced “north-strong, south-weak” pattern; (2) While overall regional disparities have slightly narrowed, inter-regional differences remain the predominant contributor to inequality; (3) Both absolute and conditional spatial convergence are evident at national and regional levels, with rural industrial development, industrial integration, and grain production capacity serving as key accelerators of convergence. These findings underscore the necessity of enhancing inter-regional factor mobility, strengthening regional coordination mechanisms, tailoring HSFC strategies to local contexts, and reforming agricultural subsidy systems to foster spatial equity and accelerate the efficiency convergence of HSFC.</p>
