<p>Access to desirable, sufficient, and safe food is one of the basic components of the development of a society. Nuclear technology represents an important strategy that can be used in attain food security. An increase in the capability of this technology in different areas and consideration of the problems that are faced by Iranians&#xa0;regarding food security&#xa0;are areas that need to&#xa0;be investigated. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the role of nuclear technology on improving food security in Iran and present a practical model. The method was primarily based on a questionnaire to which nuclear agricultural activists responded. The results indicate that among the food security dimensions, Food availability and among the nuclear technologies capabilities, Soil &amp;Water management and Environment have the greatest impact on improving food security. Moreover, Pest management and Plant breeding are the most effective factors on improving food security. Based on the research finding, it is necessary to perform applied research and executive programs in a long-term plan concerning different aspects of nuclear technology.</p>
