Recreation Services assessment in the upper Yellow River section of Gannan based on AHP-TOPSIS
摘要
Recreation Services (RS), which closely connect humans and nature, are directly affected by the gradual depletion of the environment and resources. RS is a set of non-physical nature's contribution to people (NCP). Recent studies have mainly focused on physical regions, with fewer analyses of RS from the perspective of administrative regions. The upper Yellow River section of Gannan (UYRG) is the gateway to Tibet and possesses a distinct ecological environment and religious culture. However, the harsh highland climate and poor economy limit the development of RS. Therefore, the UYRG was selected as the study area in this paper. First, the NCP analysis framework in previous studies was improved on the basis of local characteristics. The AHP-TOPSIS method was used to derive a comprehensive assessment model for the RS of UYRG during the study period of 2021. Then data on the geography and economy of the study region were collected, and RS index was calculated by ArcGIS and R software. The results revealed that the values of RS were high in the northeast and low in the southwest, with Zhoni county and Lintan county at high levels, Xiahe county and Hezuo county at medium levels, and Maqu county and Luqu county at low levels. Due to seasonal variations between the two peak tourism periods, the RS of the study region was lower in the period of January–February compared to that of May–September. The study of quantitative RS at the administrative regional scale could not only extend the NCP framework but also promote localized tourism development.
