<p>In this paper, the impact of interfacial imperfections and initial stress on the reflection and transmission of quasi-shear horizontal waves (qSH) in a transversely isotropic model is investigated. Using the interface conditions, the reflection and transmission coefficients in terms of the amplitude ratio of various waves are derived. Energy flux coefficients enable direct numerical validation while inherently satisfying energy conservation. Therefore, the energy flux reflection and the transmission coefficients are calculated instead of the displacement amplitude ratio. Numerical results illustrate how initial stress and interfacial imperfections affect phase velocity, propagation angles, and reflection and transmission coefficients.</p>
