摘要

We sought to contribute to the limited research base on early childhood teachers’ perceptions of partnering with early childhood mental health consultants. We analyzed quantitative and qualitative data from surveys (n = 281) and focus groups (n = 16), finding that a little more than half of early childhood educators experienced early childhood mental health consultation (ECMHC). When teachers had participated in ECMHC, they had mostly positive experiences. Some reported challenges related to issues of accessibility, intensity, and the scope of ECMHC. Our findings are discussed in light of implications for practice and future research, including the need to increase the accessibility of ECMHC for early childhood educators and programs.
