<p>This paper systematically examines President Trump’s missile defense project, dubbed the “Golden Dome for America” (originally named “Iron Dome”), revealing its strategic essence, technological bottlenecks, and profound impact on the international security order through multidimensional analysis. This project aims to establish a layered missile defense system for the entire continental United States (CONUS). Its core involves integrating space-based interceptors ( with a planned deployment of 200 satellites), a proliferated space-based sensor layer (PWSA constellation), and next-generation KEW/DEW (kinetic/directed-energy weapons). This architecture enables the full-spectrum interception of ballistic missiles and hypersonic weapons, marking a significant strategic shift for the United States from a “limited defense” posture to an “absolute security” paradigm.</p>
