<p>A new pyridinium-type compound, named 2-(2′,4′-dimethylpyridin-1′-ium-1′-yl)propanoate (<b>1</b>), as well as glutamate (<b>2</b>), glutamine (<b>3</b>), glutamic acid (<b>4</b>), diacetone alcohol (<b>5</b>), aesculetin (<b>6</b>), and caffeic acid (<b>7</b>), were isolated from the MeOH extract of the roots of <i>Crithmum maritimum</i> L. The structure of the new benzenoid was elucidated by chemical and physical evidence.</p>

摘要
