<p>Two new alkaloids, 2-(2′,4′-dimethylpyridin-1′-ium-1′-yl)-3-phenylpropanoate (<b>1</b>) and 2-(2′,4′-dimethylpyridin-1′-ium-1′-yl)-3-(4″-hydroxyphenyl)propanoate (<b>2</b>), along with six known compounds (<b>3–8</b>), were isolated from the roots of <i>Capsicum annuum</i> L. var. <i>fasciculatum</i> (Sturt.) Irish (Solanaceae). The structures of these two new alkaloids were elucidated by physical evidence.</p>

摘要
