<p>New haplophyllidine derivatives were produced by esterification of the C-7 OH group with aromatic acids containing a halogen or nitro group (-F, -Cl, -Br, -I, -NO<sub>2</sub>). The structures of the obtained compounds were established using IR and NMR spectral data and X-ray crystal structure analyses (XSAs). The chiral centers retained 7R and 8R configurations in the reaction products according to XSA data.</p>
