<p>A novel piperidine alkaloid, named (7′E)-3-acetyl-1-olefinic-3′,5′-dihydroxymethylphenyl-4′-O-prenylpiperidine alkaloid (<b>1</b>), and six known piperidine alkaloids (<b>2–7</b>) were isolated from highland barley <i>Monascus purpureus</i> for the first time. These compounds <b>1–7</b> were determined by extensive and comprehensive spectral analyses and comparing with their references. Compounds (<b>1–7</b>) were assayed for their inhibitory effects against the increases in ALT and AST levels on H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>-induced HepG2 cells. As a result, compounds <b>1</b>, <b>2</b>, and <b>4</b> displayed significant hepatoprotective activities.</p>

摘要
