<p>New amido-derivatives of 5-fluorouracil were synthesized. Their cytotoxic activity was studied. Antiproliferative activity was found for all 5-fluorouracil derivatives. 2,2′-[5-Fluoro-2,4-dioxopyrimidine-1,3(2<i>H</i>,4<i>H</i>)-diyl]bis[<i>N</i>-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)acetamide] (<b>3e</b>) exhibited the greatest dose-dependent cytotoxicity on HeLa cells; 2,2′ -[5-fluoro-2,4-dioxopyrimidine-1,3(2<i>H</i>,4<i>H</i>)-diyl]bis[<i>N</i>-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)acetamide] (<b>3c</b>), on KML and AKAT cells.</p>

New amido-derivatives of 5-fluorouracil were synthesized. Their cytotoxic activity was studied.
