<p>A new chromone, 2,3,5,7-tetrahydroxychromone (<b>1</b>), along with 13 known compounds, including (+)-syringaresinol (<b>2</b>), (+)-<i>dia</i>-syringaresinol (<b>3</b>), (+)-epi-syringaresinol (<b>4</b>), 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (<b>5</b>), 5-acetoxymethylfurfural (<b>6</b>), 5-methoxyfurfural (<b>7</b>), 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furancarboxylic acid (<b>8</b>), 4-hydroxyacetophenone (<b>9</b>), 2,3-dihydroxyacetophenone (<b>10</b>), 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone (<b>11</b>), scopoletin (<b>12</b>), isoscopoletin (<b>13</b>), and umbelliferone (<b>14</b>), were isolated from the stems of <i>Vitis amurensis</i> (Vitaceae). The structure of the new chromone derivative was elucidated by chemical and physical evidence.</p>
