Modeling and analysis of worm computing systems based on stochastic petri nets

Worm computing is a novel distributed computing paradigm that integrates computing resources and security information across computer networks to achieve decentralized resource sharing and collaborative defense. However, the current research and quantitative analysis on its performance is not yet sufficient and lacks a systematic analysis and evaluation method, which limits the practical application and optimization of the worm computing. Therefore, this paper adopts stochastic Petri nets to model the worm computing system, and by comparing it with the traditional distributed resource sharing systems to explore its advantages and limitations. Meanwhile, we propose performance indicators and evaluation methods specific to distributed resource sharing systems, assessing their capabilities in defense against attacks and resource allocation. The simulation results indicate that the worm computing system has a significant improvement in execution efficiency and security over traditional distributed resource sharing systems, providing scientific support for its optimization and practical application.
