摘要

In recent years, cotton fiber has garnered significant attention due to its unique properties. However, it is not suitable for applications that require special materials for advanced technology. Consequently, numerous studies have aimed to enhance the properties of cotton fibers, including self-cleaning, anti-bacterial properties, electrical conductivity, ultraviolet protection, and flame retardancy. These studies often employ various materials, such as metal particles and different metal oxides. Among them, graphene and its derivatives stand out as some of the most important and promising materials for improving the aforementioned properties. The current review attempts to summarize the various methods of synthesizing graphene and its derivatives, as well as their integration with cotton fibers. Additionally, this review collates and discusses the properties that can be imparted to cotton fibers using graphene and its derivatives, alongside the most significant research in this domain. Although significant progress has been made in the field of integrating graphene and its derivatives with cotton, there are still many challenges in the field of achieving desired properties using the least amount of graphene.
