Coproduction of Methane-Hydrogen Mixture and Carbon Nanotubes by Thermocatalytic Decomposition of Hexanes
摘要
The possibility of producing hydrogen-containing gas and carbon nanotubes via thermocatalytic decomposition of n-hexane and cyclohexane is demonstrated. Nickel 2-ethylhexagonate was used as a catalyst precursor. The hydrogen content in the formed gas reaches 53 vol. % for hexane and 91 vol. % for cyclohexane. Carbon materials were obtained in the form of nanotubes with diameters smaller than 100 mm.
