<p>Health-related biotechnology and regenerative medicine are prominent fields for research funding under the European Framework Programme. Based on a bibliometric analysis of projects funded under the current Horizon Europe Programme an overview of scientifically top-ranking projects is presented. The classical collaborative research scheme represented by the Health Cluster prevails in terms of funding source. Biotechnology and regenerative medicine have been recognised as promising fields at both the global and European levels and this is also reflected in the current calls for research proposals in the Health Cluster under Horizon Europe.</p>
