Assessment of bone tissue quality for solving problems in diagnosis and treatment of the musculoskeletal system. Biomechanical test systems

Scientific and methodological approaches to the creation of biomechanical test systems for assessing the ongoing structural and functional state and composition of bone tissue have been developed. One proposal is to use microhardness and bone tissue density as the determining physical and mechanical indicators—they are informative and meet the requirements for rapid monitoring. These indicators are best determined using cylindrical samples manufactured using an original technology taking biological and methodological factors, including anisotropy, into account. Practical application of the experimental data obtained using the test systems considered here will ensure a scientifically sound selection of donor material based on incoming control and homogeneity. This information expands the available osteological data on variability of the physical and mechanical characteristics of bone tissue from animals (xenotissues) and humans, taking age and individual characteristics into account. Data of this type are of theoretical and practical interest to specialists in the field of osteology, biomaterials science, and bioimplantology.
