A novel multicriteria ranking-based supplier selection model integrating Analytic Hierarchic Process and Goal Programming
摘要
This manuscript presents a novel methodology for supplier selection that integrates AHP and Goal Programming. This model focuses on ranking potential suppliers based on their performance relative to the selection criteria, aligned with the organization's requirements. The proposed methodology supports the supplier selection decision-making process. The results show the model's efficiency on several real-world-sized synthetic instances. Additionally, the proposed mathematical model may integrate different tactical and strategic decisions in the context of supply chain management as a future extension of this proposal. Consequently, this tool may serve as a basis for supporting more complex decision-making processes, for instance, the design of the supply chain network based on a multicriteria scheme for selecting suppliers. The results obtained indicate that this proposal is competitive with the benchmarks in literature and practice, i.e., TOPSIS and VIKOR, in terms of ranking order and precision. Furthermore, the proposal differs from other similar models that integrate AHP and Goal Programming by being able to rank suppliers despite only obtaining the best of them. This proposal contributes to both methodological and application-based aspects by developing an efficient tool for ranking potential suppliers that can be applied in several real-world industrial settings. Furthermore, given their effectiveness and efficiency, it is foreseeable that these decisions could be integrated into more complex real-world decision contexts. This is discussed in terms of a simple sequential integration of supplier selection into the traditional facility location problem.
