<p>Conservation of the argan trees, which is essential for its environmental and socio-economic benefits, particularly through the production of argan oil, is facing challenges due to climate change and land use change. This study presents a systematic bibliometric analysis and review of peer-reviewed literature on argan tree studies. Utilizing databases such as Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus. The study used Bibliometrix and Biblioshiny (R-based tools for quantitative bibliometric analysis), supplemented by VOSviewer to visualize collaboration and keyword networks. The analysis of the first phase of research contributions on argan oil showed 600 publications. These publications primarily explore the uses of argan oil and highlight key contributors, collaborative networks between authors, organizations, and the most relevant sources. The second phase explores the chemical, ecological, and physiological properties of <i>Argania spinosa</i> (L.) Skeels and advanced mapping techniques for its conservation identified a total of 390 documents from both databases. The bibliometric analysis also revealed that Morocco remains the leading country, worldwide, with the highest investment in research on this species. Recent advances in integrating remote sensing technologies with ecological knowledge have fostered sustainable land use practices, protecting the environmental integrity of argan forests and ensuring their long-term conservation and utilization.</p>
