<p>This paper investigates the uniformly exponential stability of a spatially semi-discrete finite difference scheme for a one-dimensional thermoelastic system. The frequency domain approach is employed due to the difficulty of constructing a suitable time-domain multiplier for the continuous system. A novel semi-discrete finite difference scheme is developed using the order-reduction method. The uniform exponential stability of the resulting semi-discrete system is then established through a discrete counterpart of the frequency domain method.</p>

摘要
