Inhalative Therapien richtig anwenden
摘要
Inhalation therapy encompasses various systems such as metered-dose inhalers, dry powder inhalers, nebulizers, and soft mist inhalers. Particle deposition in the lungs is largely determined by particle size, respiratory flow, and volume. Device selection must always consider individual physiological and cognitive–motor abilities as well as the environmental impact of the inhalation system. Errors due to incorrect inhalation techniques (e.g., insufficient inspiratory flow, coordination problems) cause side effects and promote exacerbations, which have negative effects on individual health and the carbon footprint. Specific recommendations for device selection and handling exist for patients receiving mechanical ventilation (invasive/noninvasive) or nasal high-flow therapy. Digital tools such as web-based instructional videos or digitally assisted inhalation devices can improve correct therapy implementation and adherence.
