摘要

A comprehensive two-year study (2021 and 2022) was conducted at Department of Horticulture, School of Agricultural Sciences, Nagaland University, Nagaland under shade net conditions. The primary objective of this experiment was to evaluate the nursery performance of Khasi mandarin grafted on eight different rootstocks of Citrus genotypes viz. Indian wild oranges, Tasi orange, Rangpur lime, Khasi papeda, Citrange, Karna khatta, Kachai lemon and Rough lemon. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design (CRD) with eight treatments and three replications. The maximum bud take (91.30%), graft success (89.17%), scion height (13.63 cm), scion diameter (4.86 mm) and number of scion leaves (24.55) were recorded for rough lemon. Compared with the other rootstocks, Indian wild oranges rootstock took maximum time for bud sprout (19.02 days). The highest total chlorophyll, chlorophyll ‘a’ and ‘b’ contents in scions were recorded in Citrange rootstock. The maximum leaf area of Rangpur lime rootstock was 22.14 cm2. Based on the findings, grafting performances of different citrus rootstock; Rough lemon had the most vigorous effect on Khasi mandarin, followed by Karna khatta and Rangpur lime. On the other hand, Indian wild oranges and Khasi papeda appeared to be inferior rootstocks based on the characteristics studied during the nursery stage experiments.
