The treatment of S2T8 showed the shortest duration for the initiation of the first cladode (14.46 days), while maximum survival percentages were observed in treatments S1T8, S1T9, S2T8, and S2T9 (100%). Notably, treatment S2T8 took the shortest time for root initiation (26.17 days). Treatment S1T4 resulted in the highest number of cladodes (5.93), whereas the longest cladode was observed in treatment S2T3 (36.20 cm). Treatment S1T8 displayed the largest cladode diameter (43.48 mm), while treatment S2T5 had the greatest distance between areoles (23.28 mm). The highest number of spines was recorded in treatment S2T8 (4.10), and the lowest sunburn damage percentage was found in treatment S2T8 (0.00%). Additionally, the longest length of cladode ribs was noted in treatment S2T3 (36.20 cm), and the longest spines were observed in treatment S2T8 (0.42 mm). Regarding cladode weight, S1T8 had the highest fresh weight (263.96 g), while treatment S2T8 had the highest dry weight (30.00 g). The thickness of cladode ribs was highest in treatment S1T8 (3.76 cm). The rooting percentage was highest in treatments S1T8, S1T9, S2T8, and S2T9 (100%). Treatment S2T9 exhibited the highest average number of roots (41.33), and the longest root length was recorded in treatment S2T3 (36.20 cm). Treatment S1T8 had the largest diameter of the longest root (43.48 cm). As for root weight, treatment S1T7 had the highest fresh weight (14.18 g), and the highest dry weight was observed in treatment S1T7 (5.30 g). In conclusion, the March season showed superior outcomes compared to the August season. The application of PGPRs has been shown to have a&#xa0;significant positive impact on Dragon Fruit cuttings, leading to notable improvements in plant growth. Among the various treatments studied, Treatment&#xa0;8, which involved the use of Consortia (108 cfu&#xa0;ml−1) demonstrated superior results across most parameters when compared to other treatments.</p>

摘要

The present investigation entitled “Correlation study of different growth attributes in Dragon fruit” (Hylocerus undatus) under Jammu subtropics was carried out in the Fruit Nursery, Division of Fruit Science, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Jammu during August 2022 and March 2023. The research was carried out in a 2-factorial completely randomized design (CRD) to understand the suitable season for dragon fruit (Hylocerus undatus) propagation. In this investigation, 25–30 cm cuttings were planted with different treatments that are T1: Bacillus sp. (1010 cfu ml−1), T2: Bacillus sp. (108 cfu ml−1), T3: Bacillus sp. (106 cfu ml−1), T4:Pseudomonas fluorescens (1010 cfu ml−1), T5: Pseudomonas fluorescens (108 cfu ml−1), T6: Pseudomonas fluorescens (106 cfu ml−1), T7: Consortia (1010 cfu ml−1), T8: Consortia (108 cfu ml−1), T9: Consortia (106 cfu ml−1) and T10: Control (without PGPR). The dragon fruit cuttings were planted in two different seasons that is in the month of August 2022 and March 2023. The investigation revealed significant variations in the sprouting and growth of dragon fruit cuttings, which were influenced by different PGPRs, seasons, and their interactions. The application of PGPRs has been shown to have a significant positive impact on Dragon Fruit cuttings, leading to notable improvements in plant growth. Among the various treatments studied, Treatment 8, which involved the use of Consortia (108 cfu ml−1) demonstrated superior results across most parameters when compared to other treatments.
