Prophylaktische Impfungen bei Kinderwunsch
摘要
Counselling on vaccine-preventable diseases and the implementation of recommended vaccinations are crucial in preconceptional care to prevent severe maternal and fetal complications during pregnancy.
Aim of the work/questionThis article outlines the current recommendations on vaccination in the context of prenatal care, emphasizing their evidence-based relevance for both mother and child.
Material and methodThis overview is based on an evaluation of national and international recommendations as well as current scientific studies on the safety and efficacy of selected vaccinations during pregnancy and the preconceptional period.
ResultsLive vaccines are contraindicated during pregnancy and the immunization should therefore be carried out before conception if protection is lacking. The recommended vaccinations before or during pregnancy include the pertussis combination, seasonal influenza, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), if indicated and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccinations. In certain cases, vaccinations against monkey pox (Mpox), hepatitis B and A (increased risk of exposure, e.g., travel) and pneumococcal and meningococcal vaccines are also advised for high-risk groups.
Discussion/conclusionWomen planning to conceive should receive guidance on current vaccination recommendations during preconception counselling to minimize the risk of complications and ensure protection for both mother and child.
