<p>For several years, transcervical radiofrequency ablation (TRFA) has been available as an organ-preserving therapeutic option for patients with symptomatic uterine fibroids. This minimally invasive and low-risk treatment method expands the range of therapeutic options and is becoming increasingly important for both patients who have completed their family planning and those wishing to have children. Despite promising results regarding symptom improvement, high patient satisfaction, and low re-intervention rates, the data on TRFA for the treatment of fibroids in women wishing to have children remains limited. While numerous pregnancy outcomes following TRFA have been documented in recent years without evidence of increased serious complications, prospective randomized studies investigating the impact of TRFA on fertility and pregnancy outcomes are still lacking. This article discusses the current literature regarding the significance of TRFA for patients considering future childbearing and its potential implications for the desire to have children and for pregnancy.</p>
