<p>In this paper, we consider conditional main effect (CME) analysis for regular two-level fractional factorial split-plot (FFSP) designs. Using the algebraic structure of the CME system, we derive the orthogonal properties of the CMEs in FFSP designs. Based on the orthogonality of the CMEs, we propose the CME analysis rules and strategies for FFSP designs. The problem of effect aliasing in FFSP designs is solved and the experimental results are more explanatory using the CME analysis.</p>
