Assessment of primary school children’s inventiveness in creating short stories using the CuentoterApp
摘要
Storytelling therapy promotes creativity, emotional expression, and narrative skills in children, while Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) offer accessible and interactive digital experiences. This study presents CuentoterApp, an application that combines Progressive Web Application (PWA) technology with innovative storytelling methods to enhance inventiveness of Primary Schools children in creating short stories. The application was evaluated with 57 students aged 9 to 12 in a school setting, using observations, surveys, and narrative analysis to assess usability, collaboration, and storytelling enhancement. Results indicate that CuentoterApp promotes collaborative storytelling and engagement, though improvements are needed in instructions and features for independent use beyond the classroom. These findings highlight the potential of integrating PWAs with storytelling therapy, with future developments focusing on refining features and incorporating AI tools to enhance narratives and multimedia elements.
