<p>An efficient, simple, and convenient method for Suzuki polycondensation using a diaminocarbene palladium(II) catalyst under aerobic conditions was developed. Reactions between aromatic diboronic acid bis(pinacol) ester and different aromatic dibromides, both with electron-donating and electron-withdrawing fragments in the structure, were carried out. Various reaction conditions, such as the effect of catalyst concentration and solvent, were investigated. The molecular weight characteristics, photo- and electroluminescence properties of the synthesized polymers were studied.</p>
