Research on carbon neutral key technology in the iron and steel industry based on hypergraph topological characteristics

To study the application of carbon neutral key technologies in the iron and steel industry and the current carbon neutral level of iron and steel enterprises, this paper constructs a supernetwork model of iron and steel enterprises with the help of hypergraph theory. Based on the list of steel extreme energy efficiency technologies and the application companies of advanced technologies constructing a hypernetwork model of steel companies from six directions, including coking and sintering, based on the hypergraph theory, the relevant definitions and properties of topological parameters of the iron and steel enterprise hypernetwork model are given, and the carbon neutral key technologies in the iron and steel industry and the carbon neutral level of iron and steel enterprises are analyzed. The study shows that the carbon neutral key technology with the highest influence is the converter flue gas waste heat recovery technology, and the lowest influence is the cold bed waste heat recovery and utilization technology for rolled steel bars, etc.; at present, there is an uneven development of carbon neutrality level in each process, with the highest carbon neutrality level in the converter (electric stove) process and the lowest in the blast furnace process; and among the 30 iron and steel enterprises studied, Baosteel has a higher level of carbon neutrality, with the highest carbon neutrality level in the three major processes of coke-making, blast furnace, energy, and public utilities.
